Farflung

Farflung combines geography trivia with interactive map exploration. Players analyze clues about borders, capitals, languages, and regional facts. You search a blank world map to find matching countries. Collect 500 total kilometers across five consecutive prompt rounds.

Every round tests your knowledge of 195 recognized nations. You pick a target country, drop your pin, and lock in your guess. Rare choices yield higher distance rewards than obvious world powers. A fast 60-second timer forces quick decisions. Wander mode offers untimed exploration.

Tips to Analyze Prompt Nuances

Read prompt descriptions thoroughly before placing your pin on the map. Broad clues often accept several valid countries across different continents. Locating obscure options inside those lists turns simple answers into maximum points.

Note: Misclicking tight border zones locks in incorrect answers automatically! Relying solely on famous nations caps your total distance far below 500 kilometers.

How does the fixed editorial rarity system calculate kilometer points?

Rarity tiers reflect fixed estimates of country familiarity rather than live player usage. Common choices grant 40 kilometers while elusive picks award up to 100 kilometers. Submitting five top-tier obscure answers yields a perfect 500-kilometer expedition score. Incorrect answers or timeouts yield zero distance.
